17 juin 1739 (1) : Clairaut à la Royal Society :
Dr le Cat MD Anatomes & Chirurgiae Demonstrator Regius Rothomagi.

This Gentleman being desirous to become a member of the Royal Society, to whom he hath lately communicated Some curious Observations in Anatomy, and being reccommended in the following manner by members residing in France Viz

We the underwritten members of the Royal Society of London, certify That Mr Le Cat Surgeon & Royal Demonstrator at Rouan, is known to us by Several Observations, which he has communicated to the Royal Academy of Sciences; and that he is a Person distinguished for Anatomy and Surgery. In testimony whereof we have given this present certificate dated at Paris Jun 17 1739.

We also join with the foregoing members in recommending him for a Candidate.
